Flinders Chase Higher Apprentice Secures QUEST Scholarship

Liam Turner, Civil Engineering Higher Apprentice, at Flinders Chase has secured a prestigious QUEST Technician Scholarship from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).  Liam joined Flinders Chase in September 2015 and is in the final year of his HNC in Civil Engineering at the University of Bolton.

The QUEST scholarships of up to £1,500 are awarded to a small number of students each year who are studying a qualification that can lead to ICE Technician Membership.  Successful scholars demonstrate excellence in their studies and their job .

Having completed his A Levels at Sacred Heart Catholic College in Crosby, Liam secured the Higher Apprenticeship at Flinders Chase over 140 other applicants for the position.  Liam has become an invaluable member of the Flinders Chase team and works on highways and transport planning projects across the North West and the Midlands.

Liam is using the award to help pay for his weekly travel costs to university in Bolton.  He has been accepted onto the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (with Honours) at Liverpool John Moores University and will begin his Degree Apprenticeship in September 2017.
